Welcome to our school

Dear Parents and Friends,

We are aware that the story in the Chichester Observer has raised lots of discussion.

First of all please be assured that the school is open on September the 2nd for the new academic year!!

Despite the headlines, there is absolutely NO possibility of imminent closure whatsoever.

Please see the the letter communicated by Governors at the end of last term, which can be found here.

We will be holding some open sessions at school on Thursday the 12th of September for Q&A. Governors will be present between 1430 and 1530, and also between 1800 and 1900. All parents, friends and members of the community are invited to meet with Governors.

If you have more urgent queries, you are welcome to communicate with the Chair of Governors via eplatt@cuprimary.co.uk

Compton & Up Marden CE School is a small downland school set in an idyllic location with extensive grounds.  Children thrive in a supportive, caring atmosphere where they become self-motivated, independent and confident.

Public transport is available from Westbourne, Rowlands Castle, Forestside and Stansted and a Local Authority mini-bus from Funtington via Watergate, Walderton, Stoughton, East Marden and Up Marden.

The school achieves high academic standards but also provides opportunities to develop creativity through art, music and drama.  Children in Key Stage 2 receive free tuition to play a musical instrument.

French is taught throughout the school.  The school works closely with the local parish church and our exciting project for a new hall and splendid additional facilities was successfully opened in 2012.  Two brand new classrooms were also opened in 2017.

To book an appointment to view the school, or request paper copies of documents contained within our website,  please call 02392 631900 and speak to Mrs Carol Crews, our School Secretary.

Please note we are a nut, egg and pea free school.
