Welcome to our school

30th December 2019

NO CHANGE for our school.

Dear Parents, Friends, and all the community,

We are delighted to inform you that West Sussex County Council formally recommended today that our beautiful school should have NO CHANGE as a result of the consultation process.

This is fantastic news for our community, and a massive endorsement of our plans going forward. It is an acknowledgement of the work that has already taken place, and an approval from WSCC to keep providing a wonderful education and environment to all our children.

We hope that you can all be put at ease after what has been a worrying process, and we thank you for your patience and support throughout the last term. Please feel free to let everyone know this outcome and what a great school we have.

We will be communicating further once we are all back at school on Monday January 6th.

We wish a very Happy New Year to all,

The Governing Body, Compton & Up Marden C of E Primary school.

Compton & Up Marden CE School is a small downland school set in an idyllic location with extensive grounds.  Children thrive in a supportive, caring atmosphere where they become self-motivated, independent and confident.

Public transport is available from Westbourne, Rowlands Castle, Forestside and Stansted and a Local Authority mini-bus from Funtington via Watergate, Walderton, Stoughton, East Marden and Up Marden.

The school achieves high academic standards but also provides opportunities to develop creativity through art, music and drama.  Children in Key Stage 2 receive free tuition to play a musical instrument.

French is taught throughout the school.  The school works closely with the local parish church and our exciting project for a new hall and splendid additional facilities was successfully opened in 2012.  Two brand new classrooms were also opened in 2017.

To book an appointment to view the school, or request paper copies of documents contained within our website,  please call 02392 631900 and speak to Mrs Carol Crews, our Office Manager.

Please note we are a nut, egg and pea free school.
